The Civic Chorale regularly programs longer choral works (with a focus on living and under represented composers) and these works often require the services of a chamber orchestra. Recent examples include Dan Forrest's Requiem for the Living, Sarah Quartel's Snow Angel, and in December of 2024 we will be performing Elaine Hagenberg's Illuminare.

Additionally, many concert programs may feature selections with instrumentalists that add to the musical experience. Recent examples include a jazz combo to accompany several holiday pop songs in December 2023 and a fiddle player to accompany Orange Blossom Special in April of 2024.
