The Tallahassee Civic Chorale is happy to be celebrating our 40th season of singing together what we cannot sing alone. The Forty for Forty campaign is a big part of that celebration. This legacy reserve fund will help ensure the future of the ensemble; allowing us to continue providing the level and quality of choral performance that have been our hallmark for forty years, to share that music with the community throughout our area, and to educate local music students.

The Civic Chorale regularly programs longer choral works (with a focus on living and under represented composers) and these works often require the services of a chamber orchestra. Recent examples include Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living, Sarah Quartel’s Snow Angel, and in December of 2024 we will be performing Elaine Hagenberg’s Illuminare.

Additionally, many concert programs may feature selections with instrumentalists that add to the musical experience. Recent examples include a jazz combo to accompany several holiday pop songs in December 2023 and a fiddle player to accompany Orange Blossom Special in April of 2024.

Your tax-deductible contribution to the Civic Chorale’s Orchestra Fund enables us to hire the highest quality musicians when producing our concerts.
